Kids' Safety Tips

  1. ALWAYS trust your intuition- God gave it to us for a reason and we often will push it to the side as we chalk it up to being "paranoid". It is better to trust your gut feeling.

  2. Be aware of your surroundings, who’s around you, and where you are.

  3. Always use the buddy system.

  4. Always let your parent(s) or the person in charge know where you are going, how you will get there, and who you will be going with when you will be returning home.

  5. If your plans change, remember safety tip number 4.

  6. Let your parent(s) or person in charge know if someone has offered you a gift or asked you for directions or to help them do something like look for their puppy or kitten.

  7. If someone touches you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, it’s not ok!!! Do not keep it a secret. Tell someone you trust like a parent, teacher, police officer, or grandparent immediately.

  8. Many people care about you and it’s never too late to ask for help. Tell an adult you trust if you have a problem too big for you to handle.
